1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Zathu Experience. By accessing our platform, booking an experience, or publishing a listing as a local host, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. About Zathu Experience

Zathu Experience operates a community-driven travel marketplace connecting travelers ("Guests") with independent local creators and guides ("Hosts") across Malawi. Zathu Experience facilitates online bookings and payments but does not directly own, manage, or operate host experiences.

3. Host Terms & Experience Approvals

  • Admin Verification: All submitted host experiences must undergo platform review and status approval prior to public listing.
  • Host Responsibility: Hosts are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of experience details, availability, pricing in Malawian Kwacha (MWK), safety measures, and local permit compliance.
  • Content Moderation: Zathu Experience reserves the right to suspend or reject any listing that violates community standards or safety guidelines.

4. Bookings, Payments & Payouts

All online transactions are securely processed through our integrated payment partner, PayChangu.

  • For Guests: Bookings are confirmed upon successful payment processing via Mobile Money (Airtel Money, TNM Mpamba) or Bank Cards.
  • For Hosts: Host payouts are disbursed to designated mobile money wallets or bank accounts following verified booking completion.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations requested by guests prior to the experience start date are subject to individual listing cancellation windows. If an experience is cancelled by a Host, the Guest is entitled to a full refund or rebooking options.

6. Limitation of Liability

Travelers participate in host activities at their own risk. Hosts operate as independent contractors. Zathu Experience is not liable for injury, damage, loss, or delay incurred during participation in third-party hosted experiences.
